Kathmandu, Aug 25: Both houses of the federal parliament are holding meetings today.
In the House of Representatives meeting scheduled at 1:00pm, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, is presenting the ‘Nepal Law Commission (first amendment) Bill, 2083’.
She will be tabling a proposal, seeking consideration on ‘Reconciliation (second amendment) Bill, 2083’. The Law Minister has also the schedule to table an ‘Agreement under UN Convention on the Law of the Sea on Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction’.
Minister for Youths, Labour and Employment, Ramji Yadav, will be presenting a proposal to send the ‘Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Bill, 2083’ to the related committee for a clause-wise discussion.
Moreover, in the meeting of the National Assembly slated for 10:15am, Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to table a proposal to send a ‘Bill (2082) on Retrieving then Provisions of Nepal Special Service Act, 2042’ along with the message received from HoR to the Legislative Management Committee for a thorough discussion.
