Kathmandu, Sept 10: Both Houses of the Federal Parliament are holding their meetings today. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the House of Representatives (HoR)’s meeting is scheduled to take place at 1.00 pm on Thursday.
Likewise, the National Assembly is holding its meeting at 1.15 pm today.
In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is set to present the ‘Citizen Investment Trust Third Amendment) Bill, 2083’ and the ‘Payment and Settlement (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’.
Minister Dr. Wagle will also propose consideration to the Employee Provident Fund (Tenth Amendment) Bill, 2083. Likewise, Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam will propose a general discussion regarding membership in the ‘Council of Asian Legislative Institutions’ in the meeting.
Similarly, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is scheduled to present a condolence motion on the passing away of former member of the National Assembly Shukraraj Sanyok in the meeting.
Also in the National Assembly meeting, Prime Minister Balendra Shah will present the annual reports of the National Human Rights Commission for the fiscal years 2080/81 and 2081/82.
Likewise, Prime Minister Shah will present the bill received from the House of Representatives along with the report of the Legislative Management Committee concerning the continuation of the provisions of the ‘Nepal Special Services Act, 2042’.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat has disclosed an agenda to discuss and pass the proposal in the Upper House.
