Sindhuli: The identity of all four people killed in an accident involving a car bearing the Indian number plate in Sindhuli on Tuesday has been established.

They are from Bhagawatisthan 9, Mandipursari Mastipur Warisnagar, Bihar, India. One among the five people travelling in the car has sustained injuries. He is 47-year-old Dharmendra Kumar Soni. Soni was rescued from the accident site and brought to Sindhuli Hospital for primary treatment. He has been sent to Dhulikhel for further treatment, said Raj Kumar Silwal, Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office.

Abhisek Thakur, 32, succumbed to his injuries at Sindhuli Hospital. Two people who were injured in the accident that happened at 12.30 pm were rescued and brought to Sindhuli Hospital for treatment this morning. He died at the hospital while three people died on the spot in the accident, SP Silwal said.

The three deceased are 42-year-old Rakesh Kumar Sing, 36-year-old Manu Sing and 32-year-old Gawar Sing. The car with registration number plate, BR 06 DD-687, met an accident at Kamalamai municipality-3, Gadhigate in Sindhuli along the BP Highway last night while going towards Kathmandu.

It fell 500 feet from the road. Silwal said preparations are being made to retrieve the bodies from the crash site and bring them to Sindhuli Hospital. A team comprising personnel of the Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force and the Nepali Army retrieved the bodies from the accident site.

According to SP Silwal, the rescue team lifted the bodies and brought them up on the road with difficulty as the accident occurred on a cliff. He said even some policemen in the rescue team sustained minor injuries due to falling stones. It is said the car passengers had come to Nepal on a religious tour.
