All sorts of incentives and additional allowances given to the government employees have been curtailed from the fiscal year 2080/081, Minister for Finance Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat informed the House while reading out the new budget.

Likewise, Dr Mahat announced dissolution of 20 different boards and development committees as per the recommendation of the Public Expenditure Review Commission 2075 BS. Likewise, state-owned institutions having similar areas of scope would be merged and adjusted in the province level, Dr Mahat added.

Announcing the new budget, the Finance Minister said that public procurement system will be simplified, e-tender will be prioritized and integrated monitoring system will be made effective.
