Beni, June 25: The Beni-Jomsom road section has resumed for traffic after 12 hours of disruption. The road was obstructed by debris fallen from a cliff in Annapurna Rural Municipality-6 in Myagdi district.
Sohil Miya, 23, of Birgunj Metropolitan City was crushed to death in a vehicle by the stones falling from the Mahabhir area in Annapurna Rural Municipality in the district, police said.
The Supervisor of the Beni-Jomsom-Korala road project, Indra Singh Sherchan, said that the vehicular movement was ensured from this morning by clearing the debris collected on the road. With this, the vehicles stranded halfway left for their destinations.
