Kathmandu : Nepal Press Union is holding the Lomanthang International Media Summit for four days from May 10. NPU informed that the event was being organized to create awareness in multiple fronts, thereby contributing to civic prosperity and prosperous Nepal.
Organizing a press conference here Friday, NPU informed that as part of the summit, the events would be held in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Manang.In the changed context, the opportunities and problems caused by technology in south Asian media would be dwelt on during the international conference, according to NPU Chairman Shiva Lamsal.
‘Climate change and journalism’, ‘AI and new media in south Asia’, and ‘press freedom: practices and challenges’ are some of the topics to foster discussion.
Experts from south Asian countries will be attending the summit.
