Trishuli (Nuwakot), March 1: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has said Nepal could be made a prosperous nation in five years with cooperation among all political parties.
In his address to an election publicity programme organized at Battar of Bidur municipality-4 of Nuwakot on Sunday, President Thapa viewed taking all sides onboard is imperative to clean out corruption and malaises plaguing the country. “Sweeping change can be ensured in five years. NC is moving ahead with the very resolution,” he reminded.
According to the NC President, his party would carry out five-times more works compared to the present. “We don’t let any casualty repeat in country,” Thapa vowed.
He further made it clear that practice of electoral alliance was ditched in a bid to ensure fair competition in election. However, running the country requires utmost cooperation, Thapa reiterated.
In his view, there is a legal hurdle in guaranteeing chemical fertilizers to the farmers and intensifying construction works. The next government would take into account every minor problem seriously and measures adopted accordingly, Thapa assured.
