Nov 07, Spanish security authorities busted a suspected jihadist network based in several provinces of Spain in country-wide CT operations arresting a total of 14 individuals.
All of the detainees are of Pakistani origin. The operation has taken place in several Spanish cities, with seven arrested in Barcelona, one in Lleida, one in Malaga, two in Gipuzkoa, two in Valencia and one in Logroño.
Currently, Spain’s terrorist alert level is four, one below the highest level of five.
These arrests come after a similar anti-terror operation carried out by the national Police on October 20 which resulted in the arrest of four suspected jihadists for ‘proselytism and jihadist recruitment’.
